We are so thankful and blessed to have Pastor Doug Markofski and his family serve us at Awaken Church.   Pastor Doug was ordained and called into ministry in February of 2000.  He has helped serve and grow churches in both Eau Claire and La Crosse.  Pastor Doug was also a teacher in the Eau Claire Schools for 19 years, before moving to the Coulee Region in 2010 for full time ministry.  He and his family love to serve and build up the children and family life ministries in the church.   He also loves to teach the word and serve on the Awaken worship team.  We know you will be blessed by his compassionate heart for all people in the gospel work, and for the community.  Pastor Doug married his wife Miki in 1992 under an apple tree right here in the Coulee Region.  They have eight wonderful children all serving and loving the Lord in various ministries.  One of Pastor Doug’s meaningful life verses is from 1Thessalonians 5:24: “Faithful is He who calls you, who also will do it.”  He often reminds us that God enables and empowers us to do the work that He calls us to. His hand has been so clearly leading our new church and preparing us for public service, and we look forward to see what God has planned for Awaken Church in the future.   All praise and glory to God!
